Code of Ethics

Opinions expressed by our members should be based on the inspector's education, experience and honest convictions. The member shall always act in good faith toward each client. Members shall make every effort to uphold, maintain, and improve the professional integrity, reputation, and practice of the home inspection profession. Members shall not engage in false or misleading advertising or otherwise misrepresent any matters to the public. The inspector shall not discriminate against anyone on the basis of age, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental handicap, or national origin.

Home Inspector education

Stan Bajerski

Stan started his home inspection career in 1989. He has 34 years of home inspection and 53 years of residential and commercial trade experience. His extensive background in building and HVAC has given him the experience necessary to provide home buyers with the protection and confidence needed to purchase their new home.  Stan has also been a nationally certified radon tester and mitigator for 20 years, first with NEHA and NRPP and now with NRSB. He is a retired register home improvement contractor and owned and operated a company that performed radon mitigation, mold abatement and termite damage repairs. He has earned the reputation of being one of the most knowledgeable and thorough home inspectors throughout New Haven and Fairfield Counties in Connecticut.

 

Stan has been a member of the Connecticut Association of Home Inspectors, Inc for 20 years. He has been on the board of directors for 13 years and was president for 6 different terms. Stan worked closely with the board to ensure they met their goal, to provide quality education for its members and to navigate the organization as the home inspection profession evolved.

Scott Monforte

Scott has been at the helm of his home inspection business for 20 years. He has participated in the CAHI board in different capacities, including three consecutive years as president. However, Scott's forte during those years was his position of Director of education, where he sought out and scheduled quality presenters to provided education at all membership meetings. Scott is also a Nationally certified radon tester and mitigator under NRSB, and a registered home improvement contractor.

James Enowitch

Jim has run a successful home inspection business for over 15 years. He has supervised over 12 interns., that are now licensed CT home inspectors. Over that time period, he was the “back end” of the Connecticut Association of Home Inspectors, LLC for many of those 15 years, providing the technical support CAHI
needed to move forward into the current age of technology.
