New York Inspectors
Education Requirement
New York home inspectors are required to complete 24 hours of state-approved continuing education every two years in order to renew their license. These courses must be approved by the New York State Department of State, Division of Licensing Services, and inspectors must attend the full duration of each course to receive credit. Continuing education can be completed through approved classroom or live training programs, and proof of completion must be maintained for license renewal. Failure to meet the 24-hour requirement will prevent the inspector from renewing their license.
